Aaron has worked with The P&W for several years, proving himself both skilled and dependable. He appreciates the satisfaction of a well-finished product and especially loves woodworking and stain. His most memorable project was working in the State building refinishing a judge’s chambers. You might see him playing music professionally around the area, but when he’s not, he enjoys watching baseball and playing cornhole. Most of all, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three young daughters.
Danny is a proud South Jersey local and has worked in the painting industry for over 20 years. He loves working with people and is a solid leader who aims to be a role model in all he does. On the job, he most appreciates staining and refinishing wood. On his days off, he likes football, fishing, flea markets and spending time with his two sons. He truly values his career with The P&W, insisting that he couldn’t imagine himself working anywhere else.
While Leonard may be relatively new to The P&W, he boasts lots of experience in life and in the industry. Leonard loves the opportunity to meet new people and new challenges at this job almost daily. His favorite type of work is staining, with his most memorable project being a beautifully stained bar. He gladly takes on the role of mentor and coach to the younger workers in the company; this comes easily as he himself is the proud father of four. He enjoys family time with his wife, Kristi, and loves to play cornhole and go bowling. In the future, he’s looking forward to simply growing old alongside of his loving family.
Carlos has worked with The P&W for over five years, gradually increasing his responsibilities within the company. He studied carpentry skills at Camden County Technical School, and unlike most people, he thoroughly enjoys (and excels at) spackle work. For this reason, Carlos welcomes large, new construction-type jobs and appreciates the satisfaction of the end product. Carlos has been a resident of Camden for over twenty years and enjoys indulging in video games during his free time.
Though Kylee is relatively new as a leader, she has proven herself to be exceedingly responsible and detail-oriented. As a graduate of BCIT, she studied the trade of carpentry in high school. To this day, her favorite type of work is still wood-related, enjoying all things related to furniture restoration and in-house stain work. Her favorite part of her workday is interacting with the homeowners and clients and meeting interesting, new people in the process. Her most memorable job was the unique opportunity to bring an old community scoreboard back to life. Kylee lives with her spouse, Celena, and their Boston Terrier, Chubbs.
Doug Umbehauer, Sr. boasts nearly 40 years of professional painting and wallpaper installation experience. He studied at The United States School of Professional Paperhanging in Rutland, Vermont in 1984. Here he learned the fine art of hanging materials like fabrics, silks, screen print papers, and murals, receiving the highest of marks. He has maintained a faithful residential clientele in the South Jersey area ever since. He also has done many out-of-the-ordinary projects like working on unique hotels, large industrial plants, and popular commercial buildings. A most memorable job for him was working in an exquisite apartment overlooking Central Park where he was asked to hang a one-of-a-kind silk mural made in Japan specifically for the project. While he spent much of his career working as a reputable one-man operation, Doug has proudly modernized and expanded the family business over the last decade or so. He and his loving wife, Kathy, have three grown children, along with eight little grandchildren who affectionately refer to him as “Pipa”.
Doug (aka “Junior”) began learning the tricks of the trade at the young age of seven where he stripped wallpaper with his dad. As he grew, he gladly assisted with painting projects during the summer, picking up on the detail-oriented ways of his father and The Painting & Wallcovering Company. Along with family-learned skills, Doug also possesses the innate determination of a distinguished athlete. The discipline and lessons learned during his 20+ years of wrestling fuels him toward greatness in all of his endeavors. In 2009, he became an All-American, taking 3rd at NCAA’s and graduating from Rider University with a BSBA in Finance. He spent the next few years living and training in PA under Olympic Gold Medalist, Cael Sanderson. In 2012, he returned to NJ to officially become part of the family business. He’s proud of what he and his dad have accomplished together and has since established a complimentary business called, The Remodeling Company. Here he enjoys more carpentry-focused projects and the ability to create. Doug lives in Shamong, NJ with his beautiful wife and six young children.
Kyle is excited to come alongside of family and assist in the future of The P&W. He attended Seneca high school and went on to the University of Delaware. His outgoing and amiable personality is much appreciated and goes well with his desire to meet new people and interact with potential clients. Kyle recently married his high school sweetheart and tends to appreciate life most when golfing, reading, and enjoying Eagles football (go Birds!).
Kathy consistently works “behind-the-scenes” to ensure all things office related are continually running smoothly. Her humble, servant heart is willing and eager to help wherever and whenever necessary. She appreciates the opportunity to assist the family business and also enjoys taking some much-needed time away with her husband, Doug Sr., when they can. When she’s not in the office, she can be found volunteering, exercising, and being the best “Mima” to her eight grandchildren.
